On February 15th, we held an activity for professionals in the educational field, as part of the European project HUMAN. It served to exchange experiences and access resources that promote diversity and youth activism. The project is coordinated in Spain by Rinova, in collaboration with the Cultural Association elParlante.

This project aims to eradicate structural hatred against diaspora communities and is being developed in eight countries around three axes:

  1. Professional development of agents of generational change (local authorities, educators or civil society organisations).
  2. Youth empowerment to train young people as digital activists who interrupt hate, with skills to promote critical thinking, participation and digital skills.
  3. Sustainability to integrate these actions into municipal strategic plans and local youth councils.

Four young people from the Quatre Cantons Institute (Poblenou) are actively participating in the project. We accompany them to create 10 sound pieces that will serve to prevent hate speech and racism and promote diversity.
