“Un instant”, carried out within the framework of the City of Hope

project, an edu-communication and awareness-raising project that, based on the use of the media, promotes the active participation of adolescents and young people. This year we have worked in the field of health, specifically, in sexual and reproductive education.

In this fourth season, the complexity of teenage pregnancy and its impacts have been reflected, and the most classic stereotypes of the roles of girls and boys in affective sex relationships have been questioned, an imaginary that comes largely from the media: especially in fiction and advertising. The Barcelona Zoom Festival project wants to support initiatives and activities that improve the skills and participation of young people and at the same time raise awareness of their environment, reflecting and expressing their reality, increasing their visibility. This has been a motivation to participate since the fact that it is an initiative in which the work process is valued, that the theme of the short film is a reality of the territory, the awareness and participation of young people means that we share values and ideology of edu-communication and communication for social change, The two main lines with which we work.

Festival TanjaZoom

The jury prize is the participation of the entire group of young people in TanjaZoom, a social short film festival held in Tangier (Morocco) that highlights the educational, social and cultural work carried out by youth associations in the Beni Makada neighborhood.

Ciutat Esperança has had the collaboration of the Ciutat Meridiana Community Plan, Interferència Produccions and the support of the Department of Community Action of the Barcelona City Council.

This award is a recognition to young people and adolescents whose work has been done, so thank you to all the people who have made it possible!
